The Alaskan Legend

About the Crew:
We pride ourselves on a crew that is committed to our clients and our love
for Southeast Alaska.

Captain:

It makes sense that southeast Alaska’s finest vessel should have southeast Alaska’s best captain. Captain Mike Mills is, quite simply, the premier skipper in these waters. He is a Coast Guard licensed operator with over 35 years of fishing and boating experience in Southeast Alaska. In addition, Mike has served as a commercial floatplane pilot for 22 years. He has lived in Alaska for 30 years and has traveled all over the state fishing, hunting, camping, and exploring. Mike uses his years of experience and his knowledge of southeast Alaska to help you enjoy the beauty and uniqueness of the Alaskan wilderness and its amazing wildlife. Past clients have returned again and again to enjoy the experience, hospitality and safe operation that Captain Mills has made his trademark in the past decades.

First Mate:

First Mate Caroline Mills is a valuable asset on Alaskan Legend Yacht Charters. Her love of the sea is reflected in her many interests which include fishing, swimming, kayaking, outrigger canoe paddling, and boating.

As First Mate, Caroline assists Captain Mills and serves as an experienced guide and excursion coordinator, opening up the brilliance of the Alaskan wilderness to all our guests.

Chef:

Camille recently returned to the Pacific Northwest after her experience as a professor at a university in Guayaquil, Ecuador, for a year and a half. She now returns to the Alaskan Legend to pursue her first love, gourmet cuisine. Before she experienced the joy of being an onboard chef in Southeast Alaska, Camille cooked for a catering company, worked in restaurants throughout the Seattle area and boats in Seattle's Puget Sound, and took a variety of cooking classes in Sonoma Valley and Washington State.  She is currently enrolled in the Culinary Arts program at Seattle Central College. Check out a
